Silkstone Intersection Upgrade

Hembrows recently completed the intersection upgrade at Blackstone and South Station Road, Silkstone for Ipswich City Council, under primary contractor, BMD Group.

The project included building new infrastructure around pre-existing infrastructure, and involved the coordination of traffic and pedestrians. Hembrows’ was involved in the construction of new traffic signals for the intersection as well as construction of surrounding major road street lighting. This project is part of councils 10 year Transport Infrastructure Investment Plan. The intersection provides an important function within our road network. 

Project Overview:

Scope - Involved the construction of 25 streetlights and 11 signal poles.

Resources - Involvement of over 10 staff, including engagement of multiple subcontractors

Duration - 3 months  

Key Staff - The project was managed by both Wayne Eddings (Project Manager) and Elias Long (On-Site Manager)
